From Paul, ¹  called to be an apostle of Christ Jesus ²  by the will of God, and Sosthenes, our brother,

to another faith by the same Spirit, and to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit,

Not all are apostles, are they? Not all are prophets, are they? Not all are teachers, are they? Not all perform miracles, do they?

Pursue love and be eager for the spiritual gifts, especially that you may prophesy.

For you can all prophesy one after another, so all can learn and be encouraged.

if indeed ¹  you have heard of the stewardship ²  of God’s grace that was given to me for you,

But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of the gift of Christ.

But these assets I have come to regard as liabilities because of Christ.

But if you show prejudice, you are committing sin and are convicted by the law as violators. ¹ 

From Peter, ¹  an apostle of Jesus Christ, to those temporarily residing ²  abroad ³  (in Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, the province of Asia, ⁴  and Bithynia) who are chosen ⁵ 

So as you come to him, ¹  a living stone rejected by men but ²  chosen and priceless ³  in God’s sight,

May grace and peace be lavished on you ¹  as you grow ²  in the rich knowledge ³  of God and of Jesus our Lord! ⁴ 

But you, dear friends – recall the predictions ¹  foretold by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ. ² 

When Joseph reached his brothers, they stripped him ¹  of his tunic, the special tunic that he wore.

Joseph saw the descendants of Ephraim to the third generation. ¹  He also saw the children of Makir the son of Manasseh; they were given special inheritance rights by Joseph. ² 

The woman became pregnant ¹  and gave birth to a son. When ²  she saw that ³  he was a healthy ⁴  child, she hid him for three months.

You must care for it ¹  until the fourteenth day of this month, and then the whole community ²  of Israel will kill it around sundown. ³ 

and you will be to me ¹  a kingdom of priests ²  and a holy nation.’ ³  These are the words that you will speak to the Israelites.”

You are to put all these ¹  in Aaron’s hands ²  and in his sons’ hands, and you are to wave them as a wave offering ³  before the Lord.

the anointing oil, and sweet incense for the Holy Place. They will make all these things just as I have commanded you.”
