And you will get a serious, chronic intestinal disease which will cause your intestines to come out.” ¹ 

For this reason my people will know my name, for this reason they will know ¹  at that time ²  that I am the one who says, ‘Here I am.’”

When Jesus learned of this, ¹  he said, “You who have such little faith! ²  Why are you arguing ³  among yourselves about having no bread?

I did not recognize ¹  him, but I came baptizing with water so that he could be revealed to Israel.” ² 

So Jesus added, ¹  “Because of this I told you that no one can come to me unless the Father has allowed him to come.” ² 

Granted! ¹  They were broken off because of their unbelief, but you stand by faith. Do not be arrogant, but fear!

For this reason Christ died and returned to life, so that he may be the Lord of both the dead and the living.

For this reason, if food causes my brother or sister to sin, I will never eat meat again, so that I may not cause one of them ¹  to sin.

For if I preach the gospel, I have no reason for boasting, because I am compelled to do this. Woe to me if I do not preach the gospel!

If the foot says, “Since I am not a hand, I am not part of the body,” it does not lose its membership in the body because of that.

For every one of God’s promises are “Yes” in him; therefore also through him the “Amen” is spoken, to the glory we give to God.

Let each one examine ¹  his own work. Then he can take pride ²  in himself and not compare himself with ³  someone else.

For this reason, take up the full armor of God so that you may be able to stand your ground ¹  on the evil day, and having done everything, to stand.

But solid food is for the mature, whose perceptions are trained by practice to discern both good and evil.

But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, accommodating, ¹  full of mercy and good fruit, ²  impartial, and not hypocritical. ³ 

Therefore, I intend to remind you constantly ¹  of these things even though you know them and are well established in the truth that you now have.

Then Abimelech asked ¹  Abraham, “What prompted you to do this thing?” ² 

When your children ask you, ‘What does this ceremony mean to you?’ ¹  –

He risked his life ¹  when he struck down the Philistine and the Lord gave all Israel a great victory. When you saw it, you were happy. So why would you sin against innocent blood by putting David to death for no reason?”

He said, ‘Permit me to go, ¹  for we are having a family sacrifice in the city, and my brother urged ²  me to be there. So now, if I have found favor with you, let me go ³  to see my brothers.’ For that reason he has not come to the king’s table.”
