Will your idle talk ¹  reduce people to silence, ²  and will no one rebuke ³  you when you mock? ⁴ 

And you will be secure, because there is hope; you will be protected ¹  and will take your rest in safety.

Who ¹  will contend with me? If anyone can, I will be silent and die. ² 

“But ¹  if I speak, my pain is not relieved, ²  and if I refrain from speaking – how ³  much of it goes away?

Now Elihu had waited before speaking ¹  to Job, because the others ²  were older than he was.

And I have waited. ¹  But because they do not speak, because they stand there and answer no more,

In excitement and impatience it consumes the ground; ¹  it cannot stand still ²  when the trumpet is blown.

I will not keep silent about its limbs, and the extent of its might, and the grace of its arrangement. ¹ 

I was stone silent; ¹  I held back the urge to speak. ²  My frustration grew; ³ 

I am silent and cannot open my mouth because of what you have done. ¹ 

Our God approaches and is not silent; ¹  consuming fire goes ahead of him and all around him a storm rages. ² 

You calm the raging seas ¹  and their roaring waves, as well as the commotion made by the nations. ² 

They rejoice in your name all day long, and are vindicated ¹  by your justice.

in order to protect him from times of trouble, ¹  until the wicked are destroyed. ² 

A rebuke makes a greater impression on ¹  a discerning person than a hundred blows on a fool. ² 

Drive out the scorner ¹  and contention will leave; strife and insults will cease. ² 

If a wise person ¹  goes to court ²  with a foolish person, there is no peace ³  whether he is angry or laughs. ⁴ 

Better is one handful with some rest than two hands full of toil ¹  and chasing the wind.

His arms are like rods of gold set with chrysolite. His abdomen ¹  is like polished ivory inlaid with sapphires.

Fairness will produce peace ¹  and result in lasting security. ²
