Syria from the east, and the Philistines from the west, they gobbled up Israelite territory. ¹  Despite all this, his anger does not subside, and his hand is ready to strike again. ²

Shout out praises to the Lord, all the earth! Break out in a joyful shout and sing!

Let them praise his name with dancing! Let them sing praises to him to the accompaniment of the tambourine and harp!

A rebuke makes a greater impression on ¹  a discerning person than a hundred blows on a fool. ²
