And you may ¹  eat it in any place, you and your household, because it is your wages for your service in the tent of meeting.

if you should see among them ¹  an attractive woman whom you wish to take as a wife,

Then the elders of his city must summon him and speak to him. If he persists, saying, “I don’t want to marry her,”

His armor bearer said to him, “Do everything that is on your mind. ¹  Do as you’re inclined. I’m with you all the way!” ²

David was thirsty and said, “How I wish someone would give me some water to drink from the cistern in Bethlehem near the gate!”

One night in Gibeon the Lord appeared ¹  to Solomon in a dream. God said, “Tell ²  me what I should give you.”

The king replied to Haman, “Keep your money, ¹  and do with those people whatever you wish.” ² 

The king said to her, “What is on your mind, ¹  Queen Esther? What is your request? Even as much as half the kingdom will be given to you!”

So now be very sure of this: You will die from war, starvation, or disease in the place where you want to go and live.”

Though all the nations follow their respective gods, ¹  we will follow ²  the Lord our God forever.

For the unconverted ¹  pursue these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.

In ¹  everything, treat others as you would want them ²  to treat you, ³  for this fulfills ⁴  the law and the prophets.

Now on the first day of the feast of ¹  Unleavened Bread the disciples came to Jesus and said, ²  “Where do you want us to prepare for you to eat the Passover?” ³ 

The ¹  governor asked them, “Which of the two do you want me to release for you?” And they said, “Barabbas!”

Immediately she hurried back to the king and made her request: ¹  “I want the head of John the Baptist on a platter immediately.”

Although it grieved the king deeply, ¹  he did not want to reject her request because of his oath and his guests.

So Pilate spoke to them again, ¹  “Then what do you want me to do ²  with the one you call king of the Jews?”

Now when his disciples James and John saw this, they said, “Lord, do you want us to call fire to come down from heaven and consume ¹  them?” ²
