¹ I was beside myself with joy! ²  There please give me your myrrh, ³  O daughter of my princely people. ⁴ 

They have sex with their father’s wife within you; ¹  they violate women during their menstrual period within you. ²

Remind them to be subject to rulers and ¹  authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good work.

I have many things to write to you, but I do not wish to write to you with ¹  pen and ink. ²

O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, ¹  you who kill the prophets and stone those who are sent to you! ²  How often I have longed ³  to gather your children together as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but ⁴  you would have none of it! ⁵ 

Therefore I thought it necessary to urge these brothers to go to you in advance and to arrange ahead of time the generous contribution ¹  you had promised, so this may be ready as a generous gift ²  and not as something you feel forced to do. ³
