He sacrificed all the priests of the high places on the altars located there, and burned human bones on them. Then he returned to Jerusalem.

So Amaziah dismissed the troops that had come to him from Ephraim and sent them home. ¹  They were very angry at Judah and returned home incensed.

But God was watching over ¹  the elders of Judah, and they were not stopped ²  until a report could be dispatched ³  to Darius and a letter could be sent back concerning this.

The Israelites who were returning from the exile ate it, along with all those who had joined them ¹  in separating themselves from the uncleanness of the nations of the land to seek the Lord God of Israel.

The Lord answered Elijah’s prayer; the boy’s breath returned to him and he lived.

¹  The exiles ²  observed the Passover on the fourteenth day of the first month.

A proclamation ¹  was circulated ²  throughout Judah and Jerusalem ³  that all the exiles were to be assembled in Jerusalem.

So Hathach returned and related Mordecai’s instructions ¹  to Esther.

So ¹  I again considered ²  another ³  futile thing on earth: ⁴ 

Now when Jesus ¹  heard that John had been imprisoned, ²  he went into Galilee.

When I had returned, I noticed ¹  a vast number of trees on the banks of the river, on both sides.

Some time later, when he went back to marry ¹  her, he turned aside to see the lion’s remains. He saw ²  a swarm of bees in the lion’s carcass, as well as some honey.

The Benjaminites returned at that time, and the Israelites ¹  gave to them the women they had spared from Jabesh Gilead. But there were not enough to go around. ² 

The Benjaminites did as instructed. ¹  They abducted two hundred of the dancing girls to be their wives. ²  They went home ³  to their own territory, ⁴  rebuilt their cities, and settled down. ⁵ 

They got up early the next morning and after worshiping the Lord, they returned to their home at Ramah. Elkanah had marital relations with ¹  his wife Hannah, and the Lord remembered ²  her.
