I know where you live and everything you do and how you rage against me. ¹ 

Those who live uprightly enter a place of peace; they rest on their beds. ¹ 

They set out to go to Egypt to get away from the Babylonians, ¹  but stopped at Geruth Kimham ²  near Bethlehem. ³ 

Be silent in the Lord’s presence, all people everywhere, ¹  for he is being moved to action in his holy dwelling place. ² 

When ¹  she poured this oil on my body, she did it to prepare me for burial.

And tombs were opened, and the bodies of many saints who had died ¹  were raised.

(They ¹  came out of the tombs after his resurrection and went into the holy city and appeared to many people.)

He is not here, for he has been raised, ¹  just as he said. Come and see the place where he ²  was lying.

He said to them, “Wherever you enter a house, stay there ¹  until you leave the area.

When John’s ¹  disciples heard this, they came and took his body and placed it in a tomb.

She did what she could. She anointed my body beforehand for burial.

Woe to you! You build ¹  the tombs of the prophets whom your ancestors ²  killed.

One of his disciples, the one Jesus loved, ¹  was at the table ²  to the right of Jesus in a place of honor. ³ 

Therefore my heart was glad and my tongue rejoiced; my body ¹  also will live in hope,

Yet the Most High ¹  does not live in houses made by human hands, ²  as the prophet says,

But if you call yourself a Jew and rely on the law ¹  and boast of your relationship to God ² 

To the present hour we are hungry and thirsty, poorly clothed, brutally treated, and without a roof over our heads.

because you have been built ¹  on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, ²  with Christ Jesus himself as ³  the cornerstone. ⁴ 

For here we have no lasting city, but we seek the city that is to come.

But, according to his promise, we are waiting for ¹  new heavens and a new earth, in which ²  righteousness truly resides. ³
