For this reason my people will know my name, for this reason they will know ¹  at that time ²  that I am the one who says, ‘Here I am.’”

For you are aware of our many rebellious deeds, ¹  and our sins testify against us; indeed, we are aware of our rebellious deeds; we know our sins all too well. ² 

He upheld the cause of the poor and needy. So things went well for Judah.’ ¹  The Lord says, ‘That is a good example of what it means to know me.’ ² 

‘Call on me in prayer and I will answer you. I will show you great and mysterious ¹  things which you still do not know about.’

“Then they will know that I am the Lord when I disperse them among the nations and scatter them among foreign countries.

so that you may bear your disgrace and be ashamed of all you have done in consoling them.

You will be profaned within yourself ¹  in the sight of the nations; then you will know that I am the Lord.’”

Foreigners are consuming what his strenuous labor produced, ¹  but he does not recognize it! His head is filled with gray hair, but he does not realize it!

Then you will know that I sent this commandment to you so that my covenant ¹  may continue to be with Levi,” says the Lord who rules over all.

In the same way, let your light shine before people, so that they can see your good deeds and give honor to your Father in heaven.

“Learn this parable from the fig tree: Whenever its branch becomes tender and puts out its leaves, you know that summer is near.

For no one is declared righteous before him ¹  by the works of the law, ²  for through the law comes ³  the knowledge of sin.

For the message about the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
