The Lord sent you on a campaign ¹  saying, ‘Go and exterminate those sinful Amalekites! Fight against them until you ²  have destroyed them.’

Do not seek Bethel! ¹  Do not visit Gilgal! Do not journey down ²  to Beer Sheba! For the people of Gilgal ³  will certainly be carried into exile; ⁴  and Bethel will become a place where disaster abounds.” ⁵ 

My people, recall how King Balak of Moab planned to harm you, ¹  how Balaam son of Beor responded to him. Recall how you journeyed from Shittim to Gilgal, so you might acknowledge that the Lord has treated you fairly.” ² 

Then ¹  he began to tell the people this parable: “A man ²  planted a vineyard, ³  leased it to tenant farmers, ⁴  and went on a journey for a long time.

Paul wanted Timothy ¹  to accompany him, and he took ²  him and circumcised ³  him because of the Jews who were in those places, ⁴  for they all knew that his father was Greek. ⁵ 

The four victorious kings ¹  took all the possessions and food of Sodom and Gomorrah and left.

When you blow an alarm, ¹  then the camps that are located ²  on the east side must begin to travel. ³ 

Remember what the Lord your God did to Miriam ¹  along the way after you left Egypt.

They turned and went on their way, but they walked behind the children, the cattle, and their possessions. ¹ 

But ¹  no stranger had to spend the night outside, for I opened my doors to the traveler ²  –

but the villagers ¹  refused to welcome ²  him, because he was determined to go to Jerusalem. ³ 

Do not carry ¹  a money bag, ²  a traveler’s bag, ³  or sandals, and greet no one on the road. ⁴ 

But ¹  a Samaritan ²  who was traveling ³  came to where the injured man ⁴  was, and when he saw him, he felt compassion for him. ⁵ 

So they approached the village where they were going. He acted as though he wanted to go farther, ¹ 

As he was going along, approaching ¹  Damascus, suddenly a light from heaven flashed ²  around him.

and when he arrived ¹  at Caesarea, ²  he went up and greeted ³  the church at Jerusalem ⁴  and then went down to Antioch. ⁵ 

Then ¹  he said to me, ‘Go, because I will send you far away to the Gentiles.’”

But you know it was because of a physical illness that I first proclaimed the gospel to you,

I have competed well; ¹  I have finished the race; I have kept the faith!

He answered, ‘The Lord, before whom I have walked, ¹  will send his angel with you. He will make your journey a success and you will find a wife for my son from among my relatives, from my father’s family.
