When Mahalalel had lived 65 years, he became the father of Jared.

When Enoch had lived 65 years, he became the father of Methuselah.

When Arphaxad had lived 35 years, he became the father of Shelah.

They inquired, “What is the guilt offering that we should send to him?” They replied, “The Philistine leaders number five. So send five gold sores and five gold mice, for it is the same plague that has afflicted both you and your leaders.

“You are to make the ¹  altar of acacia wood, seven feet six inches long, ²  and seven feet six inches wide; the altar is to be square, ³  and its height is to be ⁴  four feet six inches.

He made the altar for the burnt offering of acacia wood seven feet six inches long and seven feet six inches wide – it was square – and its height was four feet six inches.

Each of the first cherub’s wings was seven and a half feet long; its entire wingspan was 15 feet. ¹ 

Likewise one of the second cherub’s wings was seven and one-half feet long and touched the other wall of the temple; its other wing was also seven and one-half feet long and touched one of the first cherub’s wings. ¹ 

He measured it on all four sides. It had a wall around it, 875 feet long and 875 feet wide, to separate the holy and common places.

Lamech lived 595 years after he became the father of Noah, and he had other ¹  sons and daughters.

For these past two years there has been famine in ¹  the land and for five more years there will be neither plowing nor harvesting.

He gave sets of clothes to each one of them, ¹  but to Benjamin he gave three hundred pieces of silver and five sets of clothes. ² 

The roof above the beams supported by the pillars was also made of cedar; there were forty-five beams, fifteen per row.

(Now about five thousand men ¹  were there.) ²  Then ³  he said to his disciples, “Have ⁴  them sit down in groups of about fifty each.”

Another ¹  said, ‘I have bought five yoke of oxen, ²  and I am going out ³  to examine them. Please excuse me.’

Jesus said, “Have ¹  the people sit down.” (Now there was a lot of grass in that place.) ²  So the men ³  sat down, about five thousand in number.

So now, look, the Lord has preserved my life, just as he promised, these past forty-five years since the Lord spoke these words to Moses, during which Israel traveled through the wilderness. Now look, I am today eighty-five years old.

He made ten washing basins; he put five on the south side and five on the north side. In them they rinsed the items used for burnt sacrifices; the priests washed in “The Sea.”

He made two bronze tops for the pillars; each was seven-and-a-half feet high. ¹ 

The width of the entrance was 17½ feet, ¹  and the sides ²  of the entrance were 8¾ feet ³  on each side. He measured the length of the outer sanctuary as 70 feet, ⁴  and its width as 35 feet. ⁵
