The stingy person ¹  hastens after riches and does not know that poverty will overtake him. ² 

She is not ¹  afraid of the snow ²  for her household, for all of her household are clothed with scarlet. ³ 

The produce of the land is seized ¹  by all of them, even the king is served ²  by the fields. ³ 

Indeed, ¹  nations or kingdoms that do not serve you will perish; such nations will be totally destroyed. ² 

Is it not from the mouth of the Most High that everything comes – both calamity and blessing? ¹ 

A disciple ¹  is not greater than ²  his teacher, but everyone when fully trained will be like his teacher.

Then if ¹  it bears fruit next year, ²  very well, ³  but if ⁴  not, you can cut it down.’”

But it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one tiny stroke of a letter ¹  in the law to become void. ²

If those people to whom the word of God came were called ‘gods’ (and the scripture cannot be broken), ¹

If someone thinks he knows something, he does not yet know to the degree that he needs to know.

So by your knowledge the weak brother or sister, ¹  for whom Christ died, is destroyed. ² 

for God is not characterized by disorder but by peace. As in all the churches of the saints, ¹ 

For it is not the person who commends himself who is approved, but the person the Lord commends.

So you are no longer a slave but a son, and if you are ¹  a son, then you are also an heir through God. ²
