Pharaoh said to Joseph, “Say to your brothers, ‘Do this: Load your animals and go ¹  to the land of Canaan!

So the sons of Israel did as he said. ¹  Joseph gave them wagons as Pharaoh had instructed, ²  and he gave them provisions for the journey.

He gave sets of clothes to each one of them, ¹  but to Benjamin he gave three hundred pieces of silver and five sets of clothes. ² 

Then he sent his brothers on their way and they left. He said to them, “As you travel don’t be overcome with fear.” ¹ 

Then Israel said, “Enough! My son Joseph is still alive! I will go and see him before I die.”

From the remaining 1,775 shekels ¹  he made hooks for the posts, overlaid their tops, and made bands for them.

Then that high priest must take some of the blood ¹  of the bull and bring it to the Meeting Tent.

for I am the Lord who brought you up from the land of Egypt to be your God, ¹  and you are to be holy because I am holy.

All the Israelites who were twenty years old or older, who could serve in Israel’s army, were numbered ¹  according to their families.

These are those numbered from the families of the Merarites, whom Moses and Aaron numbered according to the word of the Lord by the authority of Moses.

So the Amalekites and the Canaanites who lived in that hill country swooped ¹  down and attacked them ²  as far as Hormah. ³ 

“Get away from this community, so that I can consume them in an instant!” But they threw themselves down with their faces to the ground. ¹ 

Then you came back and wept before the Lord, but he ¹  paid no attention to you whatsoever. ² 

These are the stipulations, statutes, and ordinances that Moses spoke to the Israelites after he had brought them out of Egypt,

Not one of the Lord’s faithful promises to the family of Israel ¹  was left unfulfilled; every one was realized. ² 

When the ark of the covenant of the Lord arrived at the camp, all Israel shouted so loudly ¹  that the ground shook.
