And we all agree, ¹  our religion contains amazing revelation: ²  He ³  was revealed in the flesh, vindicated by the Spirit, ⁴  seen by angels, proclaimed among Gentiles, believed on in the world, taken up in glory.

But Jehoshaphat asked, “Is there not a prophet of the Lord still here, that we may ask him?”

Solomon answered all her questions; there was no question too complex for the king. ¹ 

But Jehoshaphat asked, “Is there not a prophet of the Lord still here, that we may ask him?”

“Truly, ¹  I know that this is so. But how ²  can a human ³  be just before ⁴  God? ⁵ 

“But now, ask the animals and they ²  will teach you, or the birds of the sky and they will tell you.

The Lord shows his faithful followers the way they should live. ¹ 

My enemies ask this cruel question about me, ¹  ‘When will he finally die and be forgotten?’ ² 

The way of the Lord ¹  is like ²  a stronghold for the upright, ³  but it is destruction ⁴  to evildoers. ⁵ 

Surely the king’s authority ¹  is absolute; ²  no one can say ³  to him, “What are you doing?”

Then the house of Israel will know that I am the Lord their God, from that day forward.

Now when John ¹  heard in prison about the deeds Christ ²  had done, he sent his disciples to ask a question: ³ 

Now ¹  someone came up to him and said, “Teacher, what good thing must I do to gain eternal life?”

In the resurrection, therefore, whose wife of the seven will she be? For they all had married her.” ¹ 

Then ¹  they asked him, ²  “Why do the experts in the law ³  say that Elijah must come first?”

So Pilate asked him again, ¹  “Have you nothing to say? See how many charges they are bringing against you!”

Now some Sadducees ¹  (who contend that there is no resurrection) ²  came to him.

Now when the centurion ¹  saw what had happened, he praised God and said, “Certainly this man was innocent!” ² 

So then the Jewish leaders ¹  responded, ²  “What sign can you show us, since you are doing these things?” ³ 

They asked him, “Who is the man who said to you, ‘Pick up your mat ¹  and walk’?” ²
