You have given your loyal followers ¹  a rallying flag, so that they might seek safety from the bow. ²  (Selah)

See if there is any idolatrous tendency ¹  in me, and lead me in the reliable ancient path! ² 

She has sent out her female servants; she calls out on the highest places ¹  of the city.

Train ¹  a child ²  in the way that he should go, ³  and when he is old he will not turn from it. ⁴ 

If the snake should bite before it is charmed, ¹  the snake charmer ²  is in trouble. ³ 

Do not let anyone accuse or contend against anyone else: ¹  for my case is against you priests! ² 

Look! I will press you down, like a cart loaded down with grain presses down. ¹ 

At this point the angelic messenger ¹  who spoke to me went out, and another messenger came to meet him

When ¹  they had done this, they caught so many fish that their nets started to tear. ² 

A disciple ¹  is not greater than ²  his teacher, but everyone when fully trained will be like his teacher.

But it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one tiny stroke of a letter ¹  in the law to become void. ² 

Then ¹  Jesus ²  told them a parable to show them they should always ³  pray and not lose heart. ⁴ 

At this point ¹  their eyes were opened and they recognized ²  him. ³  Then ⁴  he vanished out of their sight.

He came as a witness ¹  to testify ²  about the light, so that everyone ³  might believe through him.

After this many of his disciples quit following him ¹  and did not accompany him ²  any longer.

Then some of the residents of Jerusalem ¹  began to say, “Isn’t this the man ²  they are trying ³  to kill?

When they heard these things, they became furious ¹  and ground their teeth ²  at him.

For if Abraham was declared righteous ¹  by the works of the law, he has something to boast about – but not before God.

For what does the scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and it was credited ¹  to him as righteousness.” ² 

Circumcision is nothing and uncircumcision is nothing. Instead, keeping God’s commandments is what counts.
