For God has put into their minds ¹  to carry out his purpose ²  by making ³  a decision ⁴  to give their royal power ⁵  to the beast until the words of God are fulfilled. ⁶ 

Then the Lord said, “Should I hide from Abraham what I am about to do? ¹ 

Now this is what we will do to Gibeah: We will attack the city as the lot dictates. ¹ 

So she went down to the threshing floor and did everything her mother-in-law had instructed her to do. ¹ 

So he ¹  said to her, “How often do you intend to get drunk? Put away your wine!”

Would your wealth ¹  sustain you, so that you would not be in distress, ²  even all your mighty efforts? ³ 

“I know that you can do all things; no purpose of yours can be thwarted;

He becomes the victim of his own destructive plans ¹  and the violence he intended for others falls on his own head. ² 

The Lord’s decisions stand forever; his plans abide throughout the ages. ¹ 

For they do not try to make peace with others, ¹  but plan ways to deceive those who are unsuspecting. ² 

No! ¹  You plan how to do what is unjust; ²  you deal out violence in the earth. ³ 

The ropes of the wicked tighten around ¹  me, but I do not forget your law.

A good person obtains favor from the Lord, but the Lord ¹  condemns a person with wicked schemes. ² 

The one who winks his eyes ¹  devises perverse things, and ²  one who compresses his lips ³  brings about ⁴  evil.

Counsel ¹  in a person’s heart ²  is like ³  deep water, ⁴  but an understanding person ⁵  draws it out.

She also gets up ¹  while it is still night, and provides food ²  for her household and a portion ³  to her female servants.

‘Build houses and settle down. Plant gardens and eat what they produce.

The boundary line will extend beyond that, straight west from there to the Hill of Gareb and then turn southward to Goah. ¹ 

The Lord decided not to do this. ¹  The sovereign Lord said, “This will not happen either.”

So on that day I will set out to destroy all the nations ¹  that come against Jerusalem.”
