For we who are alive are constantly being handed over to death for Jesus’ sake, so that the life of Jesus may also be made visible ¹  in our mortal body. ² 

Then ¹  one of the four living creatures gave the seven angels seven golden bowls filled with the wrath ²  of God who lives forever and ever,

This is the law that Moses set before the Israelites. ¹ 

The Lord was furious with Israel ¹  and handed them over to robbers who plundered them. ²  He turned them over to ³  their enemies who lived around them. They could not withstand their enemies’ attacks. ⁴ 

The Lord his God handed him over to the king of Syria. The Syrians ¹  defeated him and deported many captives to Damascus. ²  He was also handed over to the king of Israel, who thoroughly defeated him. ³ 

If I am guilty, ¹  why then ²  weary myself ³  in vain? ⁴ 

Each one will be handed over to the sword; ¹  their corpses will be eaten by jackals. ² 

What we have heard and learned ¹  – that which our ancestors ²  have told us –

The Lord severely ¹  punished me, but he did not hand me over to death.

as an inheritance to Israel his servant, for his loyal love endures,

She extends ¹  her hand ²  to the poor, and reaches out her hand to the needy.

As for peres ¹  – your kingdom is divided and given over to the Medes and Persians.”

All things have been handed over to me by my Father. ¹  No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son decides ²  to reveal him.

It ¹  could have been sold at a high price and the money ²  given to the poor!”

Furthermore, the Father does not judge ¹  anyone, but has assigned ²  all judgment to the Son,

and said to Jesus, ¹  “Teacher, this woman was caught in the very act of adultery.

After three days ¹  Paul ²  called the local Jewish leaders ³  together. When they had assembled, he said to them, “Brothers, ⁴  although I had done ⁵  nothing against our people or the customs of our ancestors, ⁶  from Jerusalem ⁷  I was handed over as a prisoner to the Romans. ⁸ 

Now there are different gifts, but the same Spirit.

Commission ¹  Joshua, and encourage and strengthen him, because he will lead these people over and will enable them to inherit the land you will see.”
