When ¹  he got up from prayer, he came to the disciples and found them sleeping, exhausted ²  from grief.

And so, because it was the Jewish day of preparation ¹  and the tomb was nearby, ²  they placed Jesus’ body there.

and after taking some food, his strength returned. For several days ¹  he was with the disciples in Damascus,

He became hungry and wanted to eat, but while they were preparing the meal, a trance came over him. ¹ 

The next day, because we were violently battered by the storm, ¹  they began throwing the cargo overboard, ² 

After this had happened, many of the people on the island who were sick ¹  also came and were healed. ² 

but ¹  wrath and anger to those who live in selfish ambition ²  and do not obey the truth but follow ³  unrighteousness.

For sin, seizing the opportunity through the commandment, deceived me and through it I died. ¹ 

So then, let us pursue what makes for peace and for building up one another.

Now with regard to the issues you wrote about: “It is good for a man not to have sexual relations with a woman.” ¹ 

For this reason also I wrote you: ¹  to test you to see ²  if you are obedient in everything.

so that we may not be exploited ¹  by Satan (for we are not ignorant of his schemes).

For we are a sweet aroma of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing –

Apart from other things, ¹  there is the daily pressure on me of my anxious concern ²  for all the churches.

Now those who belong to Christ ¹  have crucified the flesh ²  with its passions ³  and desires.

Husbands, love your ¹  wives just as Christ loved the church and gave himself for her

for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may be able to speak boldly as I ought to speak.

filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ to the glory and praise of God.

since you are encountering ¹  the same conflict that you saw me face and now hear that I am facing. ² 

Each of you should be concerned ¹  not only ²  about your own interests, but about the interests of others as well. ³
