So when Jacob heard that there was grain ¹  in Egypt, he sent our ancestors ²  there ³  the first time.

For which ones heard and rebelled? Was it not all who came out of Egypt under Moses’ leadership? ¹

A sword will come against Egypt and panic will overtake Ethiopia when the slain fall in Egypt and they carry away her wealth and dismantle her foundations.

I will pass through ¹  the land of Egypt in the same ²  night, and I will attack ³  all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both of humans and of animals, ⁴  and on all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment. ⁵  I am the Lord.

“So now Pharaoh should look ¹  for a wise and discerning man ²  and give him authority ³  over all the land of Egypt.

Then Saul struck down the Amalekites all the way from Havilah to ¹  Shur, which is next to Egypt.

He struck down all the firstborn in Egypt, the firstfruits of their reproductive power ¹  in the tents of Ham.
