A truthful witness ¹  rescues lives, ²  but the one who breathes lies brings ³  deception. ⁴ 

The businessmen love to cheat; ¹  they use dishonest scales. ² 

Those who worship ¹  worthless idols ²  forfeit the mercy that could be theirs. ³ 

unloving, irreconcilable, slanderers, without self-control, savage, opposed to what is good,

Now ¹  the beast was seized, and along with him the false prophet who had performed the signs on his behalf ²  – signs by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image. Both of them were thrown alive into the lake of fire burning with sulfur. ³ 

then this ¹  also would be iniquity to be judged, ²  for I would have been false ³  to God above.

The one whose deeds are blameless and whose motives are pure, ¹  who does not lie, ²  or make promises with no intention of keeping them. ³ 

This is your fate, the destiny to which I have appointed you, because you have forgotten me and have trusted in false gods.

Therefore you will no longer see false visions and practice divination. I will rescue my people from your power, and you ¹  will know that I am the Lord.’”

Also, we are found to be false witnesses about God, because we have testified against God that he raised Christ from the dead, when in reality he did not raise him, if indeed the dead are not raised.

‘I know your works as well as your ¹  labor and steadfast endurance, and that you cannot tolerate ²  evil. You have even put to the test ³  those who refer to themselves as apostles (but are not), and have discovered that they are false.

A horse disappoints those who trust in it for victory; ¹  despite its great strength, it cannot deliver.

How will he severely punish you, you deceptive talker? ¹ 

Excessive ¹  speech ²  is not becoming for a fool; ³  how much less are lies ⁴  for a ruler! ⁵ 

Then the Lord said to me, “Under the circumstances, wayward Israel could even be considered less guilty than unfaithful Judah. ¹ 

But, you have been unfaithful to me, nation of Israel, ¹  like an unfaithful wife who has left her husband,” ²  says the Lord.

Then the Lord said to me, “Those prophets are prophesying lies while claiming my authority! ¹  I did not send them. I did not commission them. ²  I did not speak to them. They are prophesying to these people false visions, worthless predictions, ³  and the delusions of their own mind.

The arrival of the lawless one ¹  will be by Satan’s working with all kinds of miracles ²  and signs and false wonders,

For he ¹  knows deceitful ²  men; when he sees evil, will he not ³  consider it? ⁴ 

my ¹  lips will not speak wickedness, and my tongue will whisper ²  no deceit.
