The king replied, “Find Haman quickly so that we can do as Esther requests.” So the king and Haman went to the banquet that Esther had prepared.

Look, the one whose desires are not upright will faint from exhaustion, ¹  but the person of integrity ²  will live ³  because of his faithfulness. ⁴ 

After he sat down, he called the twelve and said to them, “If anyone wants to be first, he must be last of all and servant of all.”

Flee sexual immorality! “Every sin a person commits is outside of the body” ¹  – but the immoral person sins against his own body.

Now to him who by the power that is working within us ¹  is able to do far beyond ²  all that we ask or think,

But keep away from youthful passions, and pursue righteousness, faithfulness, love, and peace, in company with others ¹  who call on the Lord from a pure heart. ² 

For the one who wants to love life and see good days must keep ¹  his tongue from evil and his lips from uttering deceit.

Then you may spend the money however you wish for cattle, sheep, wine, beer, or whatever you desire. You and your household may eat there in the presence of the Lord your God and enjoy it.

So Haman said to the king, “For the man whom the king wishes to honor,

May he grant your heart’s desire; ¹  may he bring all your plans to pass! ² 

They were defiled by their deeds, and unfaithful in their actions. ¹ 

You open your hand, and fill every living thing with the food they desire. ¹ 

A king brings stability ¹  to a land ²  by justice, but one who exacts tribute ³  tears it down.

ה (He) He shot ¹  his arrows ²  into my heart. ³ 

All these evils come from within and defile a person.”

and whoever wants to be first among you must be the slave ¹  of all.

I wrote you in my letter not to associate with sexually immoral people.

gentleness, and ¹  self-control. Against such things there is no law.

not in lustful passion like the Gentiles who do not know God.

For human ¹  anger does not accomplish God’s righteousness. ²
