Then the Lord said to me, ¹  “Tell them that the Lord God of Israel who rules over all ²  says, ³  ‘Drink this cup ⁴  until you get drunk and vomit. Drink until you fall down and can’t get up. ⁵  For I will send wars sweeping through you.’ ⁶ 

If one of us has it, ¹  he will die, and the rest of us will become my lord’s slaves!”

“You who force your neighbor to drink wine ¹  are as good as dead ²  – you who make others intoxicated by forcing them to drink from the bowl of your furious anger, ³  so you can look at their genitals. ⁴ 

But the chief cupbearer did not remember Joseph – he forgot him. ¹ 

He has given me my fill of bitter herbs and made me drunk with bitterness. ¹ 

Three cups shaped like almond flowers with buds and blossoms are to be on one branch, and three cups shaped like almond flowers with buds and blossoms are to be on the next ¹  branch, and the same ²  for the six branches extending from the lampstand.

Three cups shaped like almond flowers with buds and blossoms were on the first branch, and three cups shaped like almond flowers with buds and blossoms were on the next ¹  branch, and the same ²  for the six branches that were extending from the lampstand.

Then the chief cupbearer said to Pharaoh, “Today I recall my failures. ¹ 

The teaching ¹  of the righteous is a fountain of life, ²  but the speech ³  of the wicked conceals ⁴  violence. ⁵ 

I made all of these other people drink it: Pharaoh, king of Egypt; ¹  his attendants, his officials, his people,

Israel will be swallowed up among the nations; they will be like a worthless piece of pottery.

You too will act like drunkards; ¹  you will go into hiding; ²  you too will seek refuge from the enemy.

There are also two olive trees beside it, one on the right of the receptacle and the other on the left.” ¹ 

So he got up and went to Zarephath. When he went through the city gate, there was a widow gathering wood. He called out to her, “Please give me a cup ¹  of water, so I can take a drink.”

After these things happened, the cupbearer ¹  to the king of Egypt and the royal baker ²  offended ³  their master, the king of Egypt.

So the chief cupbearer told his dream to Joseph: ¹  “In my dream, there was a vine in front of me.

It happened just as he had said ¹  to us – Pharaoh ²  restored me to my office, but he impaled the baker.” ³ 

Your navel ¹  is a round mixing bowl ²  – may it never lack ³  mixed wine! ⁴  Your belly ⁵  is a mound of wheat, encircled ⁶  by lilies.

You will be a majestic crown in the hand of the Lord, a royal turban in the hand of your God.

I trampled nations in my anger, I made them drunk ¹  in my rage, I splashed their blood on the ground.” ²
