Pharaoh said to Joseph, “Say to your brothers, ‘Do this: Load your animals and go ¹  to the land of Canaan!

Then he sent his brothers on their way and they left. He said to them, “As you travel don’t be overcome with fear.” ¹ 

Of Asher he said: Asher is blessed with children, may he be favored by his brothers and may he dip his foot in olive oil. ¹ 

So Jephthah left ¹  his half-brothers ²  and lived in the land of Tob. Lawless men joined Jephthah’s gang and traveled with him. ³

You will be betrayed even by parents, ¹  brothers, relatives, ²  and friends, and they will have some of you put to death.

After this he went down to Capernaum ¹  with his mother and brothers ²  and his disciples, and they stayed there a few days.

So Jesus’ brothers ¹  advised him, “Leave here and go to Judea so your disciples may see your miracles that you are performing. ² 

All these continued together in prayer with one mind, together with the women, along with Mary the mother of Jesus, and his brothers. ¹ 

On their second visit Joseph made himself known to his brothers again, and Joseph’s family ¹  became known to Pharaoh.
