Two or three prophets should speak and the others should evaluate what is said.

“Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel who are now prophesying. Say to the prophets who prophesy from their imagination: ¹  ‘Hear the word of the Lord!

For we are not like so many others, hucksters who peddle the word of God for profit, ¹  but we are speaking in Christ before ²  God as persons of sincerity, ³  as persons sent from God.

For if someone comes and proclaims ¹  another Jesus different from the one we proclaimed, ²  or if you receive a different spirit than the one you received, ³  or a different gospel than the one you accepted, ⁴  you put up with it well enough! ⁵ 

But those who have believing masters must not show them less respect ¹  because they are brothers. Instead they are to serve all the more, because those who benefit from their service are believers and dearly loved. ² Teach them and exhort them about these things. ³ 

“Hear ¹  the terms of the covenant ²  I made with Israel ³  and pass them on ⁴  to the people of Judah and the citizens of Jerusalem. ⁵ 

“Son of man, turn toward ¹  the mountains of Israel and prophesy against them:

“Son of man, turn toward ¹  Pharaoh king of Egypt, and prophesy against him and against all Egypt.

“Son of man, prophesy and say, ‘This is what the sovereign Lord says: “‘Wail, “Alas, the day is here!” ¹ 

Then people from Jerusalem, ¹  as well as all Judea and all the region around the Jordan, were going out to him,

In the wilderness ¹  John the baptizer ²  began preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins. ³ 

Now after John was imprisoned, ¹  Jesus went into Galilee and proclaimed the gospel ²  of God. ³ 

and immediately he began to proclaim Jesus in the synagogues, ¹  saying, “This man is the Son of God.” ² 

And we proclaim to you the good news about the promise to our ancestors, ¹ 

As Paul and Barnabas ¹  were going out, ²  the people ³  were urging ⁴  them to speak about these things ⁵  on the next Sabbath.

On the next Sabbath almost the whole city assembled together to hear the word of the Lord. ¹ 

So then, brothers and sisters, ¹  be eager to prophesy, and do not forbid anyone from speaking in tongues. ² 

But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled only to those who are perishing,

Now ¹  I want you to know, brothers and sisters, ²  that the gospel I preached is not of human origin. ³ 

But you know it was because of a physical illness that I first proclaimed the gospel to you,
