On that same occasion ¹  Jesus ²  rejoiced ³  in the Holy Spirit and said, “I praise ⁴  you, Father, Lord ⁵  of heaven and earth, because ⁶  you have hidden these things from the wise ⁷  and intelligent, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for this was your gracious will. ⁸ 

Then we, your people, the sheep of your pasture, will continually thank you. ¹  We will tell coming generations of your praiseworthy acts. ² 

Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give him thanks! Praise his name!

The living person, the living person, he gives you thanks, as I do today. A father tells his sons about your faithfulness.

But thanks be to God that though you were slaves to sin, you obeyed ¹  from the heart that pattern ²  of teaching you were entrusted to,

If he presents it on account of thanksgiving, ¹  along with the thank offering sacrifice he must present unleavened loaves mixed with olive oil, unleavened wafers smeared with olive oil, ²  and well soaked ³  ring-shaped loaves made of choice wheat flour ⁴  mixed with olive oil.

Open for me the gates of the just king’s temple! ¹  I will enter through them and give thanks to the Lord.

I will give you sincere thanks, ¹  when I learn your just regulations.

If I partake with thankfulness, why am I blamed for the food ¹  that I give thanks for?

But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ!

But thanks be to God who put in the heart of Titus the same devotion ¹  I have for you,

in everything give thanks. For this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

Once again there will be sounds ¹  of joy and gladness and the glad celebrations of brides and grooms. ²  Once again people will bring their thank offerings to the temple of the Lord and will say, “Give thanks to the Lord who rules over all. For the Lord is good and his unfailing love lasts forever.” ³  For I, the Lord, affirm ⁴  that I will restore the land to what it was ⁵  in days of old.’ ⁶ 

O God of my fathers, I acknowledge and glorify you, for you have bestowed wisdom and power on me. Now you have enabled me to understand what I ¹  requested from you. For you have enabled me to understand the king’s dilemma.” ² 

For the music director; according to the al-tashcheth style; ²  a psalm of Asaph; a song. We give thanks to you, O God! We give thanks! You reveal your presence; ³  people tell about your amazing deeds.

I will bow down toward your holy temple, and give thanks to your name, because of your loyal love and faithfulness, for you have exalted your promise above the entire sky. ¹ 

But we ought to thank God always for you, brothers and sisters ¹  loved by the Lord, because God chose you from the beginning ²  for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and faith in the truth.

That day David first gave to Asaph and his colleagues this song of thanks to the Lord:

I will thank the Lord for ¹  his justice; I will sing praises to the sovereign Lord! ² 

Whoever presents a thank-offering honors me. ¹  To whoever obeys my commands, I will reveal my power to deliver.” ²
