When the slave girl saw him, she began again to say to the bystanders, “This man is one of them.”

While they were saying these things, Jesus ¹  himself stood among them and said to them, “Peace be with you.” ² 

both Jews and proselytes, ¹  Cretans and Arabs – we hear them speaking in our own languages about the great deeds God has done!” ² 

¹ I am telling the truth in Christ (I am not lying!), for my conscience assures me ²  in the Holy Spirit –

Then Azariah ¹  son of Hoshaiah, Johanan son of Kareah, and other arrogant men said to Jeremiah, “You are telling a lie! The Lord our God did not send you to tell us, ‘You must not go to Egypt and settle there.’

What we have seen and heard we announce ¹  to you too, so that ²  you may have fellowship ³  with us (and indeed our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ).

Then Joseph said to Pharaoh, “Both dreams of Pharaoh have the same meaning. ¹  God has revealed ²  to Pharaoh what he is about to do. ³

So they said to him, “Who are you?” Jesus replied, ¹  “What I have told you from the beginning.

So the crowd who had been with him when he called Lazarus out of the tomb and raised him from the dead were continuing to testify about it. ¹ 

but that we should write them a letter ¹  telling them to abstain ²  from things defiled ³  by idols and from sexual immorality and from what has been strangled ⁴  and from blood.

You know that I did not hold back from proclaiming ¹  to you anything that would be helpful, ²  and from teaching you publicly ³  and from house to house,

The eye cannot say to the hand, “I do not need you,” nor in turn can the head say to the foot, “I do not need you.”

The young woman ran and told her mother’s household all about ¹  these things.

Just then, ¹  while she was still speaking to the king, Nathan the prophet arrived.

Now you say, ‘Go and say to your master, “Elijah is back.”’ ¹ 

Listen carefully ¹  to my words; let your ears be attentive to my explanation. ² 

Your sin inspires ¹  your mouth; you choose the language ²  of the crafty. ³
