“But if he strikes him suddenly, without enmity, or throws anything at him unintentionally,

Make sure you do not offer burnt offerings in any place you wish,

Terrifying sounds fill ¹  his ears; in a time of peace marauders ²  attack him.

In the fullness of his sufficiency, ¹  distress ²  overtakes him. the full force of misery will come upon him. ³ 

Indeed God strikes the heads of his enemies, the hairy foreheads of those who persist in rebellion. ¹ 

the plague that comes in the darkness, or the disease that comes at noon. ¹ 

O sovereign Lord, ¹  at your right hand he strikes down ²  kings in the day he unleashes his anger. ³

A rebuke makes a greater impression on ¹  a discerning person than a hundred blows on a fool. ² 

The people did not return to the one who struck them, they did not seek reconciliation ¹  with the Lord who commands armies.

or with enmity he strikes him with his hand and he dies, the one who struck him must surely be put to death, for he is a murderer. The avenger of blood must kill the murderer when he meets him.

May Dan be a snake beside the road, a viper by the path, that bites the heels of the horse so that its rider falls backward. ¹

If an alarm sounds ¹  in a city, do people not fear? ²  If disaster overtakes a ³  city, is the Lord not responsible? ⁴ 

So the Lord is furious ¹  with his people; he lifts ²  his hand and strikes them. The mountains shake, and corpses lie like manure ³  in the middle of the streets. Despite all this, his anger does not subside, and his hand is ready to strike again. ⁴ 

When Moses extended ¹  his staff toward the sky, the Lord ²  sent thunder ³  and hail, and fire fell to the earth; ⁴  so the Lord caused hail to rain down on the land of Egypt.
