¹ When ²  Israel lived in Shittim, the people began to commit sexual immorality ³  with the daughters of Moab.

Now therefore kill every boy, ¹  and kill every woman who has had sexual intercourse with a man. ² 

But all the young women ¹  who have not had sexual intercourse with a man ²  will be yours. ³ 

and 32,000 young women who had never had sexual intercourse with a man. ¹ 

You will lie down with ¹  no one to make you afraid, and many will seek your favor. ² 

I will praise ¹  the Lord who ²  guides ³  me; yes, during the night I reflect and learn. ⁴ 

O Lord God, invincible warrior! ¹  How long will you remain angry at your people while they pray to you? ² 

And you will be like one who lies down in the midst ¹  of the sea, and like one who lies down on the top of the rigging. ² 

Furthermore, if two lie down together, they can keep each other warm, but how can one person keep warm by himself?

¹ As for all the kings of the nations, all of them ²  lie down in splendor, ³  each in his own tomb. ⁴ 

And tombs were opened, and the bodies of many saints who had died ¹  were raised.

If ¹  this matter is heard before the governor, ²  we will satisfy him ³  and keep you out of trouble.” ⁴ 

But he answered them, “The man who made me well said to me, ‘Pick up your mat ¹  and walk.’”

But now Christ has been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep.

He died ¹  for us so that whether we are alert or asleep ²  we will come to life together with him.

Anyone who lies down in the house must wash his clothes. Anyone who eats in the house must wash his clothes.
