The pastures in the wilderness glisten with moisture, ¹  and the hills are clothed with joy. ² 

And in the same way you also should be glad and rejoice together with me.

But as it is, ¹  you boast in your arrogance. All such boasting is evil.

But Christ ¹  is faithful as a son over God’s ²  house. We are of his house, ³  if in fact we hold firmly ⁴  to our confidence and the hope we take pride in. ⁵ 

In the fourth year all its fruit will be holy, praise offerings ¹  to the Lord.

But no one says, ‘Where is God, my Creator, who gives songs in the night, ¹ 

It ¹  paws the ground in the valley, ²  exulting mightily, ³  it goes out to meet the weapons.

You make me happier ¹  than those who have abundant grain and wine. ² 

Like a bridegroom it emerges ¹  from its chamber; ²  like a strong man it enjoys ³  running its course. ⁴ 

They curse, but you will bless. ¹  When they attack, they will be humiliated, ²  but your servant will rejoice.

“Also in the time when you rejoice, such as ¹  on your appointed festivals or ²  at the beginnings of your months, you must blow with your trumpets over your burnt offerings and over the sacrifices of your peace offerings, so that they may ³  become ⁴  a memorial for you before your God: I am the Lord your God.”

while David and all Israel were energetically ¹  celebrating before God, singing and playing various stringed instruments, ²  tambourines, cymbals, and trumpets.

All of this happened on the thirteenth day of the month of Adar. They then rested on the fourteenth day and made it a day for banqueting and happiness.

He entreats God, and God ¹  delights in him, he sees God’s face ²  with rejoicing, and God ³  restores to him his righteousness. ⁴ 

“These people ¹  have rejected the gently flowing waters of Shiloah ²  and melt in fear over Rezin and the son of Remaliah. ³ 

Her ¹  neighbors and relatives heard that the Lord had shown ²  great mercy to her, and they rejoiced ³  with her.

Nevertheless, do not rejoice that ¹  the spirits submit to you, but rejoice ²  that your names stand written ³  in heaven.”

In the same way, I tell you, there is joy in the presence of God’s angels ¹  over one sinner who repents.”

Every day I am in danger of death! This is as sure as ¹  my boasting in you, ²  which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord.

But even if I am being poured out like a drink offering on the sacrifice and service of your faith, I am glad and rejoice together with all of you.
