For this gospel ¹  I was appointed a preacher and apostle and teacher. ² 

He sent letters throughout all the royal provinces, to each province according to its own script and to each people according to its own language, ¹  that every man should be ruling his family ²  and should be speaking the language of his own people. ³ 

Camel caravans will cover your roads, ¹  young camels from Midian and Ephah. All the merchants of Sheba ²  will come, bringing gold and incense and singing praises to the Lord. ³ 

Now one ¹  day, as Jesus ²  was teaching the people in the temple courts ³  and proclaiming ⁴  the gospel, the chief priests and the experts in the law ⁵  with the elders came up ⁶ 

We ¹  sent Timothy, our brother and fellow worker for God ²  in the gospel of Christ, to strengthen you and encourage you about your faith,

and all people will fear. ¹  They will proclaim ²  what God has done, and reflect on his deeds.

So they proclaim that the Lord, my protector, is just and never unfair. ¹ 

but we preach about a crucified Christ, ¹  a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles.

The one who speaks in a tongue builds himself up, ¹  but the one who prophesies builds up the church.

For we do not proclaim ¹  ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your slaves ²  for Jesus’ sake.

And we are sending ¹  along with him the brother who is praised by all the churches for his work in spreading the gospel. ² 

for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may be able to speak boldly as I ought to speak.

The Lord passed by before him and proclaimed: ¹  “The Lord, the Lord, ²  the compassionate and gracious ³  God, slow to anger, ⁴  and abounding in loyal love and faithfulness, ⁵ 

Listen! Fugitives and refugees are coming from the land of Babylon. They are coming to Zion to declare there how the Lord our God is getting revenge, getting revenge for what they have done to his temple. ¹ 

And you will be hated by everyone because of my name. But the one who endures to the end will be saved.

You know ¹  the message ²  he sent to the people ³  of Israel, proclaiming the good news of peace ⁴  through ⁵  Jesus Christ ⁶  (he is Lord ⁷  of all) –

After they had proclaimed the good news in that city and made many disciples, they returned to Lystra, ¹  to Iconium, ²  and to Antioch. ³ 

For every time you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.

Or did I commit a sin by humbling myself ¹  so that you could be exalted, because I proclaimed ²  the gospel of God to you free of charge?

I became a servant of the church according to the stewardship ¹  from God – given to me for you – in order to complete ²  the word of God,
