“If ¹  your brother ²  sins, ³  go and show him his fault ⁴  when the two of you are alone. If he listens to you, you have regained your brother.

So for me, it is a minor matter that I am judged by you or by any human court. In fact, I do not even judge myself.

His sister stationed herself ¹  at a distance to find out ²  what would ³  happen to him.

“‘For your eastern border you will draw a line from Hazar Enan to Shepham.

How painful ¹  are honest words! But ²  what does your reproof ³  prove? ⁴ 

On it the quiver rattles; the lance and javelin ¹  flash.

It lives on a rock and spends the night there, on a rocky crag ¹  and a fortress. ² 

Make me understand your ways, O Lord! Teach me your paths! ¹ 

I almost ¹  came to complete ruin ²  in the midst of the whole congregation!” ³ 

Listen, my child, ¹  and be wise, and guide your heart on the right way.

In those days Hezekiah was stricken with a terminal illness. ¹  The prophet Isaiah son of Amoz visited him and told him, “This is what the Lord says, ‘Give instructions to your household, for you are about to die; you will not get well.’”

“The Lord who rules over all says, ‘Ask the priests about the law. ¹ 

But the chief priests stirred up the crowd to have him release ¹  Barabbas instead.

Then ¹  his disciples asked him what this parable meant. ² 

“Now the parable means ¹  this: The seed is the word of God.

The man ¹  replied, ²  “And who is he, sir, that ³  I may believe in him?”

Consequently faith comes from what is heard, and what is heard comes through the preached word ¹  of Christ. ² 

For see what this very thing, this sadness ¹  as God intended, has produced in you: what eagerness, what defense of yourselves, ²  what indignation, ³  what alarm, what longing, what deep concern, ⁴  what punishment! ⁵  In everything you have proved yourselves to be innocent in this matter.

The land allotted to the tribe of Judah by its clans reached to the border of Edom, to the Wilderness of Zin in the Negev far to the south. ¹
