and the one who burns them must wash his clothes and bathe his body in water, and afterward he may reenter the camp.

All those numbered of the camp of Ephraim, according to their divisions, are 108,100. They will travel third.

All those numbered of the camp of Dan are 157,600. They will travel last, under their standards.”

So the Israelites did so, and expelled them outside the camp. As the Lord had spoken ¹  to Moses, so the Israelites did.

So Miriam was shut outside of the camp for seven days, and the people did not journey on until Miriam was brought back in. ¹ 

But they dared ¹  to go up to the crest of the hill, although ²  neither the ark of the covenant of the Lord nor Moses departed from the camp.

Then the Lord said to Moses, “The man must surely be put to death; the whole community must stone ¹  him with stones outside the camp.”

So the whole community took him outside the camp and stoned him to death, ¹  just as the Lord commanded Moses.

You must give it to Eleazar the priest so that he can take it outside the camp, and it must be slaughtered before him. ¹ 

Moses, Eleazar the priest, and all the leaders of the community went out to meet them outside the camp.

You must wash your clothes on the seventh day, and you will be ceremonially clean, and afterward you may enter the camp.’”

When evening arrives he must wash himself with water and then at sunset he may reenter the camp.

Then the whole army safely returned to Joshua at the camp in Makkedah. ¹  No one ²  dared threaten the Israelites. ³ 

He said to them, “Watch me and do as I do. Watch closely! ¹  I am going to the edge of the camp. Do as I do!

When the ark of the covenant of the Lord arrived at the camp, all Israel shouted so loudly ¹  that the ground shook.

Raiding bands went out from the camp of the Philistines in three groups. One band turned toward the road leading to Ophrah by the land of Shual;

David asked him, “Where are you coming from?” He replied, “I have escaped from the camp of Israel.”

For the bodies of those animals whose blood the high priest brings ¹  into the sanctuary as an offering for sin are burned outside the camp.

But two men remained in the camp; one’s name was Eldad, and the other’s name was Medad. And the spirit rested on them. (Now they were among those in the registration, ¹  but had not gone to the tabernacle.) So they prophesied in the camp.

“Tell the Israelites that they must turn and camp ¹  before Pi-hahiroth, between Migdol and the sea; you are to camp by the sea before Baal Zephon opposite it. ²
