Acknowledge that the Lord is God! He made us and we belong to him; ¹  we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.

The Lord will reveal himself to the Egyptians, and they ¹  will acknowledge the Lord’s authority ²  at that time. ³  They will present sacrifices and offerings; they will make vows to the Lord and fulfill them.

The Lord says, ¹  “These people are like soldiers who have readied their bows. Their tongues are always ready to shoot out lies. ²  They have become powerful in the land, but they have not done so by honest means. ³  Indeed, they do one evil thing after another ⁴  and do not pay attention to me. ⁵ 

“I, the Lord, the God of Israel, say: ‘The exiles whom I sent away from here to the land of Babylon ¹  are like those good figs. I consider them to be good.

You have destroyed ¹  my people by failing to acknowledge me! Because you refuse to acknowledge me, ²  I will reject you as my priests. Because you reject ³  the law of your God, I will reject ⁴  your descendants.

Their wicked deeds do not allow them to return to their God; because a spirit of idolatry ¹  controls their heart, ²  and they do not acknowledge the Lord.

But I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt. Therefore, you must not acknowledge any God but me; except me there is no Savior.

(See what sort of love the Father has given to us: that ¹  we should be called God’s children – and indeed ²  we are! ³  For this reason ⁴  the world does not know us: because it did not know him. ⁵ 

The one who conquers ¹  will be dressed like them ²  in white clothing, ³  and I will never ⁴  erase ⁵  his name from the book of life, but ⁶  will declare ⁷  his name before my Father and before his angels.

Make then my pledge ¹  with you. Who else will put up security for me? ² 

There are those ¹  who rebel against the light; they do not know its ways and they do not stay on its paths.

Acknowledge the majesty of the Lord’s reputation! ¹  Worship the Lord in holy attire! ² 

and all people will fear. ¹  They will proclaim ²  what God has done, and reflect on his deeds.

Acknowledge God’s power, ¹  his sovereignty over Israel, and the power he reveals in the skies! ² 

so that mankind ¹  might acknowledge your mighty acts, and the majestic splendor of your kingdom.

They do one act of violence after another, and one deceitful thing after another. ¹  They refuse to pay attention to me,” ²  says the Lord.

But the one who denies me before men will be denied before God’s angels.

But if I do what I don’t want, I agree that the law is good. ¹ 

and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father.

Vent your anger on the nations that do not acknowledge you. ¹  Vent it on the peoples ²  who do not worship you. ³  For they have destroyed the people of Jacob. ⁴  They have completely destroyed them ⁵  and left their homeland in utter ruin.
