For he did not put the world to come, ¹  about which we are speaking, ²  under the control of angels.

I ¹  turned to see whose voice was speaking to me, ²  and when I did so, ³  I saw seven golden lampstands,

Who is there from the entire human race ¹  who has heard the voice of the living God speaking from the middle of the fire as we have, and has lived?

Then, when the officers have finished speaking, ¹  they must appoint unit commanders ²  to lead the troops.

While he was still speaking, people came from the synagogue ruler’s ¹  house saying, “Your daughter has died. Why trouble the teacher any longer?”

While he was still speaking, someone from the synagogue ruler’s ¹  house came and said, “Your daughter is dead; do not trouble the teacher any longer.”

But practicing the truth in love, ¹  we will in all things grow up into Christ, who is the head.

Then the disciples understood that he was speaking to them about John the Baptist.

(They did not understand that he was telling them about his Father.) ¹ 

After they stopped speaking, ¹  James replied, ²  “Brothers, listen to me.

But Peter said, “Man, I don’t know what you’re talking about!” At that moment, ¹  while he was still speaking, a rooster crowed. ² 

Yet here he is, speaking publicly, ¹  and they are saying nothing to him. ²  Do the rulers really know that this man ³  is the Christ? ⁴ 

The wicked turn aside from birth; ¹  liars go astray as soon as they are born. ² 

When ¹  the chief priests and the Pharisees ²  heard his parables, they realized that he was speaking about them.

Completely baffled, they said, ¹  “Aren’t ²  all these who are speaking Galileans?

While this one was still speaking another messenger arrived and said, “Your sons and your daughters were eating and drinking wine in their oldest brother’s house,

So they stayed there ¹  for a considerable time, speaking out courageously for the Lord, who testified ²  to the message ³  of his grace, granting miraculous signs ⁴  and wonders to be performed through their hands.

So I want you to understand that no one speaking by the Spirit of God says, “Jesus is cursed,” and no one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit.

When David ¹  had finished talking with Saul, Jonathan and David became bound together in close friendship. ²  Jonathan loved David as much as he did his own life. ³
