Rehum the commander ¹  and Shimshai the scribe ²  wrote a letter concerning ³  Jerusalem to King Artaxerxes as follows:

But ¹  she was greatly troubled ²  by his words and began to wonder about the meaning of this greeting. ³ 

I will plant it on a high mountain of Israel, and it will raise branches and produce fruit and become a beautiful cedar. Every bird will live under it; Every winged creature will live in the shade of its branches.

God said, “Let the land produce vegetation: ¹  plants yielding seeds according to their kinds, ²  and ³  trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds.” It was so.

God created the great sea creatures ¹  and every living and moving thing with which the water swarmed, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. God saw that it was good.

or when he touches human uncleanness with regard to anything by which he can become unclean, ¹  even if he did not realize it, but he himself has later come to know it and is guilty;

So all the skilled people who were doing all the work on the sanctuary came from the work ¹  they were doing

When you make any kind of loan to your neighbor, you may not go into his house to claim what he is offering as security. ¹ 

The king ¹  asked them, “Describe the appearance ²  of this man who came up to meet you and told you these things.”

“Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a net that was cast into the sea that caught all kinds of fish.

For some of these insinuate themselves ¹  into households and captivate weak women ²  who are overwhelmed with sins and led along by various passions.

Thus we must make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one may fall by following the same pattern of disobedience.

the eagle owl, ¹  the short-eared owl, the long-eared owl, the hawk of any kind,

the stork, the heron of any kind, the hoopoe, and the bat.

the ostrich, ¹  the owl, ²  the seagull, the falcon ³  after its species,

the stork, the heron after its species, the hoopoe, the bat,

His God instructs him; he teaches him the principles of agriculture. ¹ 

“As for you, son of man, this is what the sovereign Lord says: Tell every kind of bird and every wild beast: ‘Assemble and come! Gather from all around to my slaughter ¹  which I am going to make for you, a great slaughter on the mountains of Israel! You will eat flesh and drink blood.

He told them, “This kind can come out only by prayer.” ¹ 

Now when the Pharisee who had invited him saw this, ¹  he said to himself, “If this man were a prophet, ²  he would know who and what kind of woman ³  this is who is touching him, that she is a sinner.”
