Persist ¹  in trusting ²  your amulets and your many incantations, which you have faithfully recited ³  since your youth! Maybe you will be successful ⁴  – maybe you will scare away disaster. ⁵ 

The waters rose more than twenty feet ¹  above the mountains. ²

You ¹  prevail over ²  all your enemies; your power is too great for those who hate you. ³ 

During his days the godly will flourish; ¹  peace will prevail as long as the moon remains in the sky. ² 

For justice will prevail, ¹  and all the morally upright ²  will be vindicated. ³ 

There are many plans ¹  in a person’s mind, ²  but it ³  is the counsel ⁴  of the Lord which will stand.

When the righteous rejoice, ¹  great is the glory, ²  but when the wicked rise to power, people are sought out. ³
