As it is written in Isaiah the prophet, ¹  “Look, I am sending my messenger ahead of you, who will prepare your way, ² 

This is the one about whom it is written, ‘Look, I am sending my messenger ahead of you, ¹  who will prepare your way before you.’ ² 

There are many dwelling places ¹  in my Father’s house. ²  Otherwise, I would have told you, because ³  I am going away to make ready ⁴  a place for you. ⁵ 

At the same time also, prepare a place for me to stay, for I hope that through your prayers I will be given back to you.

“As for you, ¹  if you prove faithful, ²  and if ³  you stretch out your hands toward him, ⁴ 

ants are creatures with little strength, but they prepare ¹  their food in the summer;

“Fall into ranks with your shields ready! ¹  Prepare to march into battle!

Then he will show you a large furnished room upstairs. Make preparations there.”

If, for example, the trumpet makes an unclear sound, who will get ready for battle?

You must also prepare one-fourth of a hin of wine for a drink offering ¹  with the burnt offering or the sacrifice for each lamb. ²

For he is the one about whom Isaiah the prophet had spoken: ¹  “The voice ²  of one shouting in the wilderness, ‘Prepare the way for the Lord, make ³  his paths straight.’” ⁴

‘Bring me some wild game and prepare for me some tasty food. Then I will eat ¹  it and bless you ²  in the presence of the Lord ³  before I die.’

And when you prepare a young bull as a burnt offering or a sacrifice for discharging a vow or as a peace offering to the Lord,

to supply me with large quantities of timber, for I am building a great, magnificent temple.
