because the sun’s light failed. ¹  The temple curtain ²  was torn in two.

After Lot had departed, the Lord said to Abram, ¹  “Look ²  from the place where you stand to the north, south, east, and west.

As they were walking along and talking, suddenly a fiery chariot ¹  pulled by fiery horses appeared. ²  They went between Elijah and Elisha, ³  and Elijah went up to heaven in a windstorm.

When he had finished ¹  speaking ²  all these words, the ground that was under them split open,

In what direction is lightning ¹  dispersed, or the east winds scattered over the earth?

You destroyed ¹  the sea by your strength; you shattered the heads of the sea monster ²  in the water.

And now, ¹  I will break Assyria’s ²  yoke bar ³  from your neck; ⁴  I will tear apart the shackles ⁵  that are on you.” ⁶ 

So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.”

Then ¹  they crucified ²  him and divided his clothes, throwing dice ³  for them, to decide what each would take.

and they began selling ¹  their property ²  and possessions and distributing the proceeds ³  to everyone, as anyone had need.
