You will become fuel for the fire – your blood will stain the middle of the land; ¹  you will no longer be remembered, for I, the Lord, have spoken.’”

The previous abundance of the land will not be remembered ¹  because of the famine that follows, for the famine will be very severe. ² 

I will proclaim your greatness through the coming years, ¹  then the nations will praise you ²  forever.

They say, “Come on, let’s annihilate them so they are no longer a nation! ¹  Then the name of Israel will be remembered no more.”

No one remembers the former events, ¹  nor will anyone remember ²  the events that are yet to happen; ³  they will not be remembered by the future generations. ⁴ 

Yes, as your judgments unfold, ¹  O Lord, we wait for you. We desire your fame and reputation to grow. ² 

You who have escaped the sword, ¹  go, do not delay. ²  Remember the Lord in a faraway land. Think about Jerusalem. ³ 

For you ¹  will forget your trouble; ²  you will remember it like water that ³  has flowed away.

They forgot what he had done, ¹  the amazing things he had shown them.

Praise the Lord, O my soul! Do not forget all his kind deeds! ¹ 

They quickly forgot what he had done; ¹  they did not wait for his instructions. ² 

They rejected ¹  the God who delivered them, the one who performed great deeds in Egypt,

This brought him a reward, an eternal gift. ¹ 

He does ¹  amazing things that will be remembered; ²  the Lord is merciful and compassionate.

For he will never be upended; others will always remember one who is just. ¹ 

I remember your ancient regulations, ¹  O Lord, and console myself. ² 

O Lord, your name endures, ¹  your reputation, O Lord, lasts. ² 

My child, ²  do not forget my teaching, but let your heart keep ³  my commandments,

let them ¹  drink and forget ²  their poverty, and remember their misery no more.

Remember this, so you can be brave! ¹  Think about it, you rebels! ²
