If only these men ¹  were under my command, ²  I would get rid of Abimelech!” He challenged Abimelech, ³  “Muster ⁴  your army and come out for battle!” ⁵ 

They will eat, but not be satisfied; they will engage in prostitution, but not increase in numbers; because they have abandoned the Lord by pursuing other gods. ¹ 

Your children ¹  will be blessed, as well as the produce of your soil, the offspring of your livestock, the calves of your herds, and the lambs of your flocks.

But as for you, ¹  be fruitful and multiply; increase abundantly on the earth and multiply on it.”

A flood will carry off his house, rushing waters on the day of God’s wrath.

Where there are no oxen, the feeding trough is clean, but an abundant harvest is produced by strong oxen. ¹ 

The more one argues with words, the less he accomplishes. ¹  How does that benefit him? ² 

Honor ¹  the Lord from your wealth and from the first fruits of all your crops; ² 

and because lawlessness will increase so much, the love of many will grow cold.

What shall we say then? Are we to remain in sin so that grace may increase?

Then in the fifth year you may eat its fruit to add its produce to your harvest. ¹  I am the Lord your God.

Give instruction ¹  to a wise person, ²  and he will become wiser still; teach ³  a righteous person and he will add to his ⁴  learning.

The one who oppresses the poor to increase his own gain and the one who gives to the rich ¹  – both end up only in poverty.

The downtrodden will again rejoice in the Lord; the poor among humankind will take delight ¹  in the Holy One of Israel. ² 

I will multiply the fruit of the trees and the produce of the fields, so that you will never again suffer the disgrace of famine among the nations.

Now the law came in ¹  so that the transgression ²  may increase, but where sin increased, grace multiplied all the more,

The more years there are, ¹  the more you may make its purchase price, and the fewer years there are, ²  the less you must make its purchase price, because he is only selling to you a number of years of ³  produce.

“This is what the sovereign Lord says: I will allow the house of Israel to ask me to do this for them: ¹  I will multiply their people like sheep. ² 

“But you, Daniel, close up these words and seal the book until the time of the end. Many will dash about, ¹  and knowledge will increase.”

Now God ¹  who provides seed for the sower and bread for food will provide and multiply your supply of seed and will cause the harvest of your righteousness to grow.
