When she has left him ¹  she may go and become someone else’s wife.

A worthless and wicked person ¹  walks around saying perverse ²  things; ³ 

If you do take ¹  the garment of your neighbor in pledge, you must return it to him by the time the sun goes down, ² 

If ¹  he passes by me, I cannot see ²  him, ³  if he goes by, I cannot perceive him. ⁴ 

for the Lord your God goes with you to fight on your behalf against your enemies to give you victory.” ¹ 

Suppose a man marries a woman, has sexual relations with her, ¹  and then rejects ²  her,

The light in his tent grows dark; his lamp above him is extinguished. ¹ 

Its breath sets coals ablaze and a flame shoots from its mouth.

Before destruction the heart ¹  of a person is proud, but humility comes ²  before honor. ³ 

Do not look on the wine when it is red, when it sparkles ¹  in the cup, when it goes down smoothly. ² 

“When ¹  an unclean spirit ²  goes out of a person, ³  it passes through waterless places ⁴  looking for rest but ⁵  does not find it.

What defiles a person is not what goes into the mouth; it is what ¹  comes out of the mouth that defiles a person.”

When he has brought all his own sheep ¹  out, he goes ahead of them, and the sheep follow him because they recognize ²  his voice.

But if the slayer at any time goes outside the boundary of the town to which he had fled,

My heart went out ¹  to Israel’s leaders, to the people who answered the call to war. Praise the Lord!

It ¹  paws the ground in the valley, ²  exulting mightily, ³  it goes out to meet the weapons.

The one who heeds instruction ¹  is on the way to ²  life, but the one who rejects ³  rebuke goes astray.

“They have blown the trumpet and everyone is ready, but no one goes to battle, because my anger is against their whole crowd. ¹ 

For I too am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. ¹  I say to this one, ‘Go’ and he goes, ²  and to another ‘Come’ and he comes, and to my slave ³  ‘Do this’ and he does it.” ⁴
