He shot ¹  arrows and scattered them, ²  lightning and routed them. ³ 

When he imposed a limit ¹  for the rain, and a path for the thunderstorm, ² 

Its snorting throws out flashes of light; its eyes are like the red glow ¹  of dawn.

He prepares to use deadly weapons against him; ¹  he gets ready to shoot flaming arrows. ² 

Like the fire that burns down the forest, or the flames that consume the mountainsides, ¹ 

His lightning bolts light up the world; the earth sees and trembles.

Hurl lightning bolts and scatter them! Shoot your arrows and rout them! ¹

From ¹  the throne came out flashes of lightning and roaring ²  and crashes of thunder. Seven flaming torches, which are the seven spirits of God, ³  were burning in front of the throne
