Look, our fathers died violently ¹  and our sons, daughters, and wives were carried off ²  because of this.

But suddenly Babylonia will fall and be destroyed. ¹  Cry out in mourning over it! Get medicine for her wounds! Perhaps she can be healed!

“Assyria is there with all her assembly around her grave, ¹  all of them struck down by the sword. ²

(For the Spirit ¹  had not yet come upon ²  any of them, but they had only been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.) ³
