how much more glorious will the ministry of the Spirit be? ¹ 

But Moses replied to ¹  the Lord, “If the Israelites did not listen to me, then ²  how will Pharaoh listen to me, since ³  I speak with difficulty?” ⁴ 

now I ask that when I am present I may not have to be bold with the confidence that (I expect) I will dare to use against some who consider us to be behaving ¹  according to human standards. ² 

My confident hope ¹  is that I will in no way be ashamed ²  but that with complete boldness, even now as always, Christ will be exalted in my body, whether I live or die. ³ 

while waiting for and hastening ¹  the coming of the day of God? ²  Because of this day, ³  the heavens will be burned up and ⁴  dissolve, and the celestial bodies ⁵  will melt away in a blaze! ⁶ 

Isaac ¹  said, “Since ²  I am so old, I could die at any time. ³ 

All his days ¹  the wicked man suffers torment, ²  throughout the number of the years that ³  are stored up for the tyrant. ⁴ 

He does not expect ¹  to escape from darkness; ²  he is marked for the sword; ³ 

So how can you console me with your futile words? Nothing is left of your answers but deception!” ¹ 

This is the portion of the wicked man allotted by God, ¹  the inheritance that evildoers receive from the Almighty.

What then would be one’s lot from God above, one’s heritage from the Almighty ¹  on high?

For it is a fire that devours even to Destruction, ¹  and it would uproot ²  all my harvest.

Is it not fierce ¹  when it is awakened? Who is he, then, who can stand before it? ² 

But now, O Lord, upon what am I relying? You are my only hope! ¹ 

What the righteous desire ¹  leads ²  only to good, but what the wicked hope for ³  leads ⁴  to wrath.

Do you see ¹  a man wise in his own eyes? ²  There is more hope for a fool ³  than for him.

You rely ¹  on your swords and commit abominable deeds; each of you defiles his neighbor’s wife. Will you possess the land?’

You too will act like drunkards; ¹  you will go into hiding; ²  you too will seek refuge from the enemy.

His disciples answered him, “Where can someone get enough bread in this desolate place to satisfy these people?”

But if you do not believe what Moses ¹  wrote, how will you believe my words?”
