Your justice, O God, extends to the skies above; ¹  you have done great things. ²  O God, who can compare to you? ³ 

“Son of man, of all the woody branches among the trees of the forest, what happens to the wood of the vine? ¹ 

¹ “The wings of the ostrich ²  flap with joy, ³  but are they the pinions and plumage of a stork? ⁴ 

O Lord, my God, you have accomplished many things; you have done amazing things and carried out your purposes for us. ¹  No one can thwart you! ²  I want to declare them and talk about them, but they are too numerous to recount! ³ 

Then I would not be ashamed, if ¹  I were focused on ²  all your commands.

You are altogether beautiful, my darling! There is no blemish in you!

The cedars in the garden of God could not eclipse it, nor could the fir trees ¹  match its boughs; the plane trees were as nothing compared to its branches; no tree in the garden of God could rival its beauty.

Let us not become conceited, ¹  provoking ²  one another, being jealous ³  of one another.

With all my strength I will say, ¹  “O Lord, who can compare to you? You rescue ²  the oppressed from those who try to overpower them; ³  the oppressed and needy from those who try to rob them.” ⁴ 

Neither gold nor crystal ¹  can be compared with it, nor can a vase ²  of gold match its worth.

¹ O God, your deeds are extraordinary! ²  What god can compare to our great God? ³ 

“‘Therefore this is what the sovereign Lord says: Because you think you are godlike, ¹ 

Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem ¹  to visit Cephas ²  and get information from him, ³  and I stayed with him fifteen days.

and he displayed great power ¹  and awesome might in view of all Israel. ² 

O Lord, there is none like you; there is no God besides you! What we heard is true! ¹ 

“Son of man, say to Pharaoh king of Egypt and his hordes: “‘Who are you like in your greatness?

At an appointed time he will again invade the south, but this latter visit will not turn out the way the former one did.

Therefore you are great, O Lord God, for there is none like you! There is no God besides you! What we have heard is true! ¹ 

Next, I decided to consider ¹  wisdom, as well as foolish behavior and ideas. ²  For what more can the king’s successor do than what the king ³  has already done?

The full moon will be covered up, ¹  the bright sun ²  will be darkened; ³  for the Lord who commands armies will rule ⁴  on Mount Zion in Jerusalem ⁵  in the presence of his assembly, in majestic splendor. ⁶
