If I have seen anyone about to perish for lack of clothing, or a poor man without a coat,

He destroyed their vines with hail, and their sycamore-fig trees with driving rain.

Although ¹  he is scornful to arrogant scoffers, ²  yet ³  he shows favor to the humble. ⁴ 

A person who has a quick temper ¹  does foolish things, and a person with crafty schemes ²  is hated. ³ 

he has filled the hungry with good things, ¹  and has sent the rich away empty. ²

King David was very old; ¹  even when they covered him with blankets, ²  he could not get warm.
