unless they became my subjects ¹  and made peace with me; let them make peace with me. ² 

The folds ¹  of its flesh are tightly joined; they are firm on it, immovable. ² 

I hate those who serve worthless idols, ¹  but I trust in the Lord.

Those who worship ¹  worthless idols ²  forfeit the mercy that could be theirs. ³ 

But as for the seed that landed on good soil, these are the ones who, after hearing ¹  the word, cling to it ²  with an honest and good ³  heart, and bear fruit with steadfast endurance. ⁴ 

But ¹  they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives ²  so much that they were afraid to die.

He leans against his house but it does not hold up, ¹  he takes hold ²  of it but it does not stand.

My bones stick to my skin and my flesh; ¹  I have escaped ²  alive ³  with only the skin of my teeth.

May a curse attach itself to him, like a garment one puts on, ¹  or a belt ²  one wears continually!

For ¹  I am like a wineskin ²  dried up in smoke. ³  I do not forget your statutes.

Having no regard ¹  for the command of God, you hold fast to human tradition.” ² 

Whoever tries to keep ¹  his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life ²  will preserve it.

No inheritance may pass from tribe to tribe. But every one of the tribes of the Israelites must retain its inheritance.”

Why, then, do these people of Jerusalem ¹  continually turn away from me in apostasy? They hold fast to their deception. ²  They refuse to turn back to me. ³ 

ה (He) Those who once feasted on delicacies ¹  are now starving to death ²  in the streets. Those who grew up ³  wearing expensive clothes ⁴  are now dying ⁵  amid garbage. ⁶ 

Whoever finds his life ¹  will lose it, ²  and whoever loses his life because of me ³  will find it.

“I am not praying ¹  only on their behalf, but also on behalf of those who believe ²  in me through their testimony, ³ 

To do this ¹  you must hold firmly to faith and a good conscience, which some have rejected and so have suffered shipwreck in regard to the faith.

Therefore since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast to our confession.

You must not take for yourself anything that has been placed under judgment. ¹  Then the Lord will relent from his intense anger, show you compassion, have mercy on you, and multiply you as he promised your ancestors.
