where their worm never dies and the fire is never quenched.

However, ¹  Paul ²  shook ³  the creature off into the fire and suffered no harm.

And the tongue is a fire! The tongue represents ¹  the world of wrongdoing among the parts of our bodies. It ²  pollutes the entire body and sets fire to the course of human existence – and is set on fire by hell. ³ 

For look, the Lord comes with fire, his chariots come like a windstorm, ¹  to reveal his raging anger, his battle cry, and his flaming arrows. ² 

Again, take more of them and throw them into the fire, ¹  and burn them up. From there a fire will spread to all the house of Israel.

Out of its mouth go flames, ¹  sparks of fire shoot forth!

Look, they are like straw, which the fire burns up; they cannot rescue themselves from the heat ¹  of the flames. There are no coals to warm them, no firelight to enjoy. ² 

So fire went out from the presence of the Lord ¹  and consumed them so that they died before the Lord.
