the pure gold lampstands and their lamps which burned as specified at the entrance to the inner sanctuary,

The priests and Levites who lived throughout Israel supported him, no matter where they resided. ¹ 

They swore their allegiance to the Lord, shouting their approval loudly and sounding trumpets and horns. ¹ 

Then Jehoshaphat added, ¹  “First seek an oracle from the Lord.” ² 

Uzziah supplied shields, spears, helmets, breastplates, bows, and slingstones for the entire army.

Exercise appropriate caution so that there is no negligence in this matter. Why should danger increase to the point that kings sustain damage?”

From the Israelites: from the descendants of Parosh: Ramiah, Izziah, Malkijah, Mijamin, Eleazar, Malkijah, and Benaiah.

Also in those days I saw the men of Judah who had married women from Ashdod, Ammon, and Moab.

Moreover, this will become my deliverance, for no godless person would come before him. ¹ 

Moreover, the strength of their ¹  hands – what use was it to me? Men whose strength ²  had perished;

Surely, he ate in darkness every day of his life, ¹  and he suffered greatly with sickness and anger.

The Lord gave me knowledge, that I might have understanding. ¹  Then he showed me what the people were doing. ² 

“‘Do not go to a house where people are feasting and sit down to eat and drink with them either.

Moreover, ¹  the Lord says, ²  “Both the prophets and priests are godless. I have even found them doing evil in my temple!

Not ¹  only this, but we also rejoice in sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance,

But when he again brings ¹  his firstborn into the world, he says, “Let all the angels of God worship him!” ² 

And both the tabernacle and all the utensils of worship he likewise sprinkled with blood.

“You are to speak to the Levites, and you must tell them, ‘When you receive from the Israelites the tithe that I have given you from them as your inheritance, then you are to offer up ¹  from it as a raised offering to the Lord a tenth of the tithe.

I have also acquired Ruth the Moabite, the wife of Mahlon, as my wife to raise up a descendant who will inherit his property ¹  so the name of the deceased might not disappear ²  from among his relatives and from his village. ³  You are witnesses today.”

Also their neighbors, from as far away as Issachar, Zebulun, and Naphtali, were bringing food on donkeys, camels, mules, and oxen. There were large supplies of flour, fig cakes, raisins, wine, olive oil, beef, and lamb, ¹  for Israel was celebrating. ²
