Foreigners are powerless before me; ¹  when they hear of my exploits, they submit to me. ² 

They swore their allegiance to the Lord, shouting their approval loudly and sounding trumpets and horns. ¹ 

They entered Jerusalem to the sound of stringed instruments and trumpets and proceeded to the temple of the Lord.

“And now what are we able to say after this, our God? For we have forsaken your commandments

By the breath ¹  of God they perish, ²  and by the blast ³  of his anger they are consumed.

The Lord frustrates ¹  the decisions of the nations; he nullifies the plans ²  of the peoples.

Let me again experience the joy of your deliverance! Sustain me by giving me the desire to obey! ¹ 

With trumpets and the blaring of the ram’s horn, shout out praises before the king, the Lord!

The grass dries up, the flowers wither, when the wind sent by the Lord ¹  blows on them. Surely humanity ²  is like grass.

I looked at the mountains and saw that they were shaking. All the hills were swaying back and forth!

Now when John ¹  heard in prison about the deeds Christ ²  had done, he sent his disciples to ask a question: ³
